Mickala McCartney is a licensed Cosmetologist, Esthetician, and Permanent Makeup Artist based in the Omaha area. With over a decade of experience and advanced training in brow artistry and permanent makeup, her work is rooted in precision, education, and intentional design. Outside of the studio, she calls La Vista home with her husband, Eric, daughter Marceline and their dogs Miko and Lilo.

Mickala is a licensed Cosmetologist, Esthetician, Permanent Makeup + Tattoo Artist. She graduated from Capitol School of Hairstyling + Esthetics in 2010 through the Cosmetology program and later completed the Esthetics program in 2014. Her permanent makeup training and certification were completed in California at Microblading L.A., Denver Colorado with Julie Kim, and Powder Brow training with Jacqui Tripp of Inkwell Studio Omaha.

In addition to working behind the chair, Mickala is a certified instructor with BronsunUSA and Brow Down Studio Pro, providing continuing brow education for beauty professionals locally. While she holds certifications with these respected brands, her trainings are intentionally not brand-specific. Instead, she focuses on teaching foundational techniques, product knowledge, and color theory in a way that empowers artists to choose the most affordable products that still deliver exceptional results.

Makayla McGlade is a licensed esthetician specializing in luxury brow artistry and precision body waxing. With four years of experience, she is known for her refined technique, attention to detail, and ability to enhance each client’s natural beauty. Makayla chose esthetics out of a genuine passion for helping others feel confident and comfortable in their own skin. Each service is thoughtfully tailored to deliver polished, beautiful results in a welcoming setting.

Makayla attended the esthetics program at Capitol Beauty School in 2022. Throughout her career, she has continued to elevate her skills in advanced brow shaping techniques and body waxing, ensuring a seamless and professional experience from start to finish. She believes beautifully shaped brows and smooth, cared-for skin have the power to elevate not only appearance, but confidence and energy. She values cleanliness, precision, and client comfort above all, creating an environment that feels both elevated and approachable.

Licensed since April 2023, Talia is a passionate brow artist who fell in love with brows from the moment she began her training. After experiencing a few disappointing brow appointments herself growing up, she made it her mission to ensure every client feels heard, understood, and confident in their service. She specializes in natural brow services, always customizing each appointment to enhance her client’s natural features. Outside of the studio, she stays busy with her dog Georgia and can almost always be found with a Dr Pepper in hand.

Talia graduated from Capitol Beauty School and continued her training at The Brow Edit under Mickala. She is committed to ongoing education and believes learning never stops. Choosing esthetics over a traditional college path strengthened her work ethic and pushed her to stand out in a competitive field.

Her favorite service is a shaping and tint because of its versatility. Whether a client wants something soft and natural or more defined, she loves creating a look that feels tailored to them. Talia especially enjoys working with first-time clients and seeing their reaction to how much of a difference a well-shaped brow can make.

She naturally matches her client’s energy, offering a relaxing appointment or a fun, conversation-filled experience depending on what they need that day. Joanna Papke is a recent Capitol Beauty School graduate with a deep passion for brow artistry that began in high school. What started as experimenting with makeup and reshaping her own brows quickly turned into an appreciation for how powerful a well-crafted brow can be in transforming the entire face. That passion only grew stronger throughout beauty school and into her career. Joanna is dedicated to creating brows that elevate her clients confidence while still feeling soft, natural, and uniquely theirs.

Joanna believes that ongoing learning is essential to delivering the highest quality results and maintaining excellence in her craft.

Her goal is to create customized results that complement each client’s unique face shape and personal style, while building lasting relationships rooted in trust.

She understands how personal beauty services can be and is intentional about fostering a welcoming, judgment-free environment on her table. For Joanna, it’s not just about brows; it’s about confidence, connection, and helping people feel like the most authentic version of themselves.

Devyn is the receptionist for The Brow Edit and the friendly energy behind the front desk. She helps keep the schedule flowing, answers whatever questions she can, and strives to make your visits feel effortless from the moment you walk in.

Outside the studio, Devyn is equal parts hands on and spooky cute. She loves working on cars with her fiancé, and has a serious appreciation for all things Halloween. She is never far from a true crime podcast, especially when the girls are in with clients performing their services.

When she's not helping schedule, she is probably talking about highland cows or helping bring creative ideas to life for studio events and more. She's always eager to lend a hand and loves to learn wherever she can.
